Y'all are too hardcore for me. I'm way too much of a germophobe to get that near to New York sidewalks let alone spend a night on one!

My urban camping has always been relegated to van dwelling or car living. As a single female traveling alone I feel safe with steel and glass around me, not to mention prefering the comforts of a modestly decked out conversion van. Even with the rust I still feel safer than in a tent!

I totally agree with what you're saying. I wish more people felt this way and took the time to express themselves. Keep up the great work.

You guys rock! This is such a great idea. If people can camp in public places such as state and national parks, then why should they not be able to camp in Times Square? This was a very thought-provoking experiment, and I hope that you continue to try this out in other locales.
