Life Updates

A mix of personal and professional, as always. I haven’t been as good as I’d like keeping up here.

I was a guest judge again in this season’s Hey, Hot Shot! photo competition at the Jen Bekman gallery along with Founder/CEO of Blurb.com, Eileen Gittins. Congrats to the winners! Looking forward to meeting you all next month. (Photo above by Patrick Smith, one of the winners.)

Logo-250px-whitebg.gifPhotojojo stories hit the Digg front page 5 times in the last two months! Really stoked about that. There was also an article on us in Time Out Chicago and a piece of ours ran in the newly-relaunched JPG Magazine.

Also in Photojojo, PJ friends Sahadeva Hammari and Mareen Fischinger worked on some great new video tutorials, our two new PJ interns published their first newsletter pieces: Nicole’s, Christy’s. Both of them are totally awesome.

79357342611.gifFinally, we started selling our second awesome photo product in the Photojojo store, and it’s been doing really, really well. And we’re super excited to be releasing our first Photojojo-branded DIY kit very soon. Should be shipping in the first week of December. This is our very own UPC! :)

Danielle’s baseball cuffs are starting to find their way into retail stores. Elsewares put it up last Thursday and she tells me they’re already re-ordering. Congrats, D! (She’s also responsible for the newest addition to H20.) And some of Kellan’s code went live on Flickr today. Love it, Kellan!

logo_tilt_small_1.gifI did a presentation at Meetup.com on BarCamp and unconferences at Scott’s request. Scott’s a serial entrepreneur who’s done some amazing stuff, and I’m hoping he’ll give me some advice on ideas I have for Photojojo. (Btw, here’s something new I learned about Scott today. How great!)

Finally, I’m going home for three days to spend Turkey Day with my family, Danielle, my brother and his girlfriend, Sahadeva, and Mareen. It’s hard to wait!

Blogs are for friends.
I am your friend.
I liked reading this.

You can mathematically assume, then, that this was an excellent post. And it was. Welcome back. I think these personal updates are great.
