Facebook Implements Notifications Management (And Spam!)

Wow, that was fast.

Kudos to the Facebook team for responding so quickly to the proliferation of application spam. You can now turn off notifications from any app, and even mark an app’s notifications as spam!

I’m continually impressed with how quickly they’re managing their platform to ensure it remains clean, fast, and useful. (I’m also pleased to see that they’ve remained committed to openness and a level playing field: you can mark “Wall”, one of Facebook’s own apps, as spam just as easily as third-party apps.)
